[Design Study] How to Improve Landing Page Conversions
I often get design requests for a landing page from clients, and in order to create a high-performing landing page that generates the maximum leads, I always research first. During the research, I found this great article that talked about good examples of high-performing landing pages and learned great features to improve conversions.
Here is a summary of how to improve conversions from the article that I learned:
Replace customer info forms with an interactive quiz (example: Nextiva)
Replace boring lead forms with interactive quizzes for visitors to participate in. The goal is to have interactive pages to keep visitors engaged and make them stay on the page.
Emphasize strong visuals and copy that stresses product details (example: Western Rise)
A strong visual and a powerful headline in the header tell the brand story.
The inclusion of extensive product details is helpful to customers.
Use strong social proof (example: Aura)
Add the rating stars and the customer review to prove customer satisfaction.
Add "trusted by" logos of customers.
Focus on visually appealing above the fold content (example: Perfect Keto)
Above-the-fold content meaning: It is content that a visitor sees on a website before scrolling down.
Above-the-fold significantly impacts customers' decision-making.
Add a powerful menu, a headline that explains what the company is about, and a strong visual (real product photos).
Make the call to action more compelling (example: Zendesk HelpDesk)
Replace the sign-up form with a single button that has more actionable text and a prominent look.
If a program is offered as a free trial, mention "Free trial" on the button.
Use contrast to highlight specific copy on the page (example: GetResponse)
Emphasize the text with highlight
